Rega Fono MM Moving Magnet Phono Amplifier

The Rega Fono MM phono amplifier has been designed to optimise the performance of a moving magnet cartridge and amplify the signal out to your pre/ power amplifier delivering high-quality music playback. The Fono MM is a great performance phono-preamp for the Rega Planar 1, Planar 2 and Planar 3 turntables as well as any other turntable with a moving magnet cartridge fitted.

The perfect partner

The aesthetic design of the Fono MM was as important as the quality of its electrical capabilities, so it benefits from the same aluminium case as the Rega Neo and Fono MC amplifier, giving it a design that offers a familiar feel and moreover brings it in line with its illustrious bigger brothers. The RIAA equalization has been split into two stages to minimise interaction. Polyester capacitors have been used in the signal path and polypropylene capacitors are used in the RIAA equalization circuits.
